Kinc &Co. founder, curator and resident artist Meagen Winter ("Migii")

Born on the Gold Coast Australia I grew up breathing Music Art and Dance. Art was always a passion and natural career progression. It gave me the freedom to express myself and to bring a sense of musicality into my pieces. Painting boldly, freely and intuitively in an abstract manner, I like to play with layers of acrylic paint and experiment with mixed media, often using my hands to allow me to see where the medium takes me. My work is a creative, expressive and emotional journey that reflects on my career in the arts, travel and the beauty that the world holds to me.
In my studio, I love to paint using large scale canvases with an abundance of colour and texture.
Sculpture is equally as important to me and my creations reflect nostalgic memories and moments of my childhood.

60cm x 90cm x 3cm Gallery Style Frame in Tasmanian Oak The colours in this artwork are very complementary. Originally painted in large format using acrylic paint, I applied several layers to build texture and depth. I loved the strokes my catalyst wedge created on this piece, which was inspired my memories of trekking through snow to ice caves I once visited on my travels.

Water being my favourite subject, I wanted to give contrast, depth and create beautiful abstract strokes. Painting on a large canvas with the use of acrylic paint and varied techniques and tools. Capricious

In this beautiful series 'Capricious' Mixed Media Limited Edition Prints. I created each print by layering ink and embossing leaves and flowers in soya based oil ink on paper. Hamilton Island Life

This series of limited edition prints was inspired by family holidays to breathtaking Hamilton Island. I wanted to enhance the beauty of not only Hamiltons beautiful oceans, but their abundance of nature and wildlife all in the one place. I wanted to bring colours of the water into the prints highlighted with hints of gold which reminded me of their golden sunsets. These prints would look stunning in a series of 3 with white borders and white gallery style frames.
